February–April 2025 at Bosco Bracco: Signs of Spring, New Comforts, and Bottling Season

As winter gradually gave way to spring in the hills of Canelli, Bosco Bracco came to life with exciting updates, blossoming vineyards, and preparations for a memorable year ahead. The months of February through April have been both productive and promising—and we’re thrilled to share what’s been happening.

Seasonal Shifts and Local Traditions

The weather in Canelli during these months reflects a gentle awakening. February remained chilly, with temperatures ranging from 2°C to 10°C (35°F–50°F), often bringing crisp air and foggy mornings—classic “nebbia”, the atmospheric inspiration behind the Nebbiolo grape. By March, the days began to warm, early blooms appeared, and temperatures climbed into the mid-teens (50s and 60s °F). April brought fresh green shoots in the vineyard, longer sunlit days, and occasional spring rain, with highs reaching 18–20°C (mid-60s °F).

In the surrounding region, locals celebrated Carnevale with colorful parades and sweet treats like chiacchiere and frittelle, while Easter Monday—known as Pasquetta—was marked by relaxed countryside lunches with friends and family. These springtime rituals, focused on food and community, perfectly capture the warmth and hospitality of the Piedmont region.

A Cool New Upgrade at Bosco Bracco

One of the biggest transformations at Bosco Bracco this spring is the installation of air conditioning in all bedrooms—a huge milestone we’re excited to share! While the villa retains its historic charm, this upgrade means guests will enjoy even more comfort during the warmer months. It's part of our ongoing commitment to blending rustic Italian beauty with modern convenience.

Bottling Il Tramonto & Spring Visit

In April, Jeff and DeVonne returned to Canelli for a hands-on visit to participate in the bottling of our 2022 vintage of Il Tramonto. Nearly 6000 bottles are filled, corked, labeled, packed and ready for shipment. This vibrant wine—named after the breathtaking sunsets that grace our vineyard views—is our most anticipated release to date… ok, our only release to date… Their visit also included housekeeping updates around the villa to prepare for an exciting summer season.

Sharing the Journey Online

While in Canelli, DeVonne also tried her hand at social media, sharing snippets of daily life, winemaking moments, and behind-the-scenes updates from the villa. From mid-bottling wine tastings, to golden-hour views from the terrace, she’s been capturing and posting the beauty, humor, and magic of Bosco Bracco in real time. If you haven’t already, give us a follow on Instagram and Facebook to keep up with the story as it unfolds!

U.S. Wine Launch on the Horizon

Behind the scenes, we’ve been hard at work pushing forward our goal to make Bosco Bracco wines available in the U.S. We’re deep in ongoing conversations with our importer and are closing in on a shipping date within the next month. We’re incredibly grateful for the growing excitement around our wines and can’t wait to finally share them with our friends and supporters back home.

A Wedding to Remember – Coming This June

We’re also busy preparing for a very special event: our first wedding at Bosco Bracco! In June, we’ll host a beautiful celebration for a bride and groom who visited the villa last fall to begin planning. This marks a new chapter for us, opening the doors of Bosco Bracco not only to travelers and wine lovers, but also to couples dreaming of a destination wedding in Italy.

As the vines awaken and the air warms with the promise of summer, we’re filled with anticipation for the next chapter at Bosco Bracco. From new comforts and fresh vintages to unforgettable celebrations and our debut in the U.S. market, there’s never been a more exciting time to follow our journey.

Stay tuned and visit boscobraccowines.com to learn more, book your stay, or follow along with DeVonne’s posts as we head into a beautiful summer in Piedmont.

Ciao for now!

Jeff & DeVonne
